GSD would like to welcome Rachel Dixon and Kevin Froud to Pirate Nation!! Mrs. Dixon will be teaching Math at the HS, and Mr Froud(Pirate Alum) will be district sub/ISS and bus driver. We are so proud to have them at Greenland High School!!

GSD is proud to welcome our new College and Career Coach, Amanda Creamer! Amanda has extensive experience at the college level, formerly at the University of Missouri and the University of Arkansas working with student athletes, academic services, recruiting, placements, etc. She has also worked for the MO Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Creamer is a graduate of the U of A and Central Baptist! We are thrilled to have her join Pirate Nation and assist our students in their pathways to their careers! 💚


GSD is extremely excited to welcome Mr. Blake Hanney to the Pirate Family. Blake will be teaching PE at GES/GMS and coach boys basketball with Coach Gobel. He is a graduate of Van-Cove High School and played college basketball for NAC and CBC. Blake holds a Bachelors Degree from CBC and Masters in Educational Leadership from ASU. He has coached at Waldron, Salem, and has spent the last 5 years as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Valley Springs. In his free time Blake enjoys family time, hunting, fishing, and CrossFit. GSD is super excited to announce that Mrs. Alex Nix(Pirate Alum) will be joining the Pirate family as a 4th grade teacher at Greenland Elementary!!! Alex is a graduate of Greenland Public Schools. She attended Southern Arkansas University where she obtained her Bachelors in K-6 Education. Alex and her husband Ben have a 4 month old baby girl named Amelia Kate. She enjoys spending time with family, singing and playing instruments, being outdoors, riding rollercoasters, and reading good books!!! Alex is thrilled to be back in her hometown and hopes to impact students the way her teachers did when she was attending Greenland.


We are so excited about our partnership with Altrusa International! Check out this drive-thru event coming to Greenland School District in July. #GES We are SUPER excited to announce that Ashley January will be joining the Pirate Family as a Kindergarten teacher!!! Ashley is from Fayetteville. This will be her 6th year to teach. She has a golden doodle puppy name Mo. When Ms. January is not teaching she enjoys reading and running.
